Lip Gloss: The Trend that’s Coming Back

June 30, 2016

We all know lip gloss was the go-to-product a few years ago. We would see that in all of the movies and TV shows (in particular, Gossip Girl, my current Netflix binge) and it was even a staple in our music industry (the all time famous song “Lip Gloss” by Little Kim).

But ever since the discovery of matte and liquid lipsticks that’s all that’s been the buzz lately. Until all of sudden, poof, major makeup throwback in full effect. I’ve got to say I’m kind of happy that lip gloss is making a comeback. I’ve always thought that the glossy, pigmented lips look was so girly and feminine. If you never wear lip gloss and strictly stick to the matte formulas or any other lippies, I dare you to switch it up this week by trying a lip gloss instead.

If you’re not sure on a lip gloss that would suit you, I came up with a list of different lip glosses that I personally have tried myself and own.

Nars Lipgloss

Nars Lip Gloss in Dolce Vita. The perfect pink for any occasion.

Kylie Lipgloss

Kylie Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Literally. One of my favorites, a super pigmented nude.

Pur Minerals Lipgloss                   Pur Minerals Lip Gloss in Lovestuck. A natural pink that looks good on everyone.

Covergirl Lipgloss         CoverGirl Colorlicious Lip Gloss in Give Me Guava. A shimmery nude that brightens up any look.

Nyx LipglossNyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Clear. Go for a natural makeup look or apply this on top of your favorite matte lippie.

The Lip gloss song is still my guilty pleasure! The covergirl lipgloss looks like such a beautiful shade of peachy pink. Lovely recommendations! I did a post on non-sticky lipglosses a while ago if you would like to check it out!
