How to Have a Stress Free Summer

July 11, 2016

Summer is a time for relaxation, vacation, and more. But it can also be a stressful time. You might have work, assignments, or activities over the summer that could really stress you out. Some of us even like to improve some things about ourselves. We really need to remember that summer is supposed to be our break season and that we don’t need to consume it with stress.

So I’ve come up with a few tips that you can always use whenever you’re feeling stressed. First things first, plan. Write out a to-do list of what you need to accomplish. If you’re more of a digital person, put your list in your Reminders App. I stay in stress-mode until I accomplish what I need, so this tip is a great way to keep me organized and on top of my game.

Another way I like to relieve stress is to just not care. Forget about your responsibilities for a few hours, binge watch Netflix, and eat junk food. I’ve being doing this a lot this summer which is not good at all, so remember not to overindulge in this activity and keep this to a few times a week.

This is related to my last tip, which is to chill/relax. Find your serenity. Relaxing can be different depending on the type of person your are. Relaxing for me is having an at-home spa day. To others relaxing could be reading a good book, doing yoga, going for a jog, or playing video games. This tip is my absolute favorite way to unwind and relieve a lot of my stress.

My last tip but certainly not least is to take a vacation. This is easier said then done, but you can always plan ahead for this one. Or just go on a road trip to the nearest beach. Vacations are a great way to let go of some of that stress. Something about getting out of my normal environment gives me a sense of peace and makes me feel calm.

I hope these tips helped you and that you use them whenever you’re feeling stressed out. If you enjoyed this post please like and comment! And follow my blog via email so you can get alerts whenever I upload a new post!
