Tiki Travels ♥

August 20, 2016

Hey babes!

I’m sorry I haven’t uploaded recently, but I promise I’ll make up for it. I’m excited to be back with another segment of Tiki Travels. Just last week, I spent my last vacation, before the summer ends, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

I’m so blessed to have parents that plan vacations every year. When I was ten years old, we started going on family vacations. I’ve been all over the state of Florida. I have traveled to Orlando, West Palm Beach, Panama City, St. Thomas (not in Florida), and now Fort Lauderdale.  And if you’re wondering, yes we do have a timeshare.

Usually, on our vacations we are always busy doing stuff. On my last vacation, I went night kayaking. Then, on the vacation before that I went snorkeling. But on this vacation, we did more exploring of the city. If I had to explain Fort Lauderdale in a few words it would be easy-going and high class. The city is beautiful. The people are very friendly and just living life to its fullest. We could tell that it was a wealthy area, because of all the high end cars and gorgeous homes.

We arrived in town a few days early so we could do as much we could. If you read my last segment of Tiki Travels, you know that I love boutiques. So when we discovered Las Olas Boulevard, I was in love! Las Olas Boulevard is filled with amazing shops and eateries. We ate at this delicious Mexican restaurant in Las Olas called Roco’s Tacos. We did a bit more shopping at the busy outlet, Sawgrass Mills. For it to be an outlet, we didn’t find that much. We also went to the high-scale mall, The Galleria. My favorite part of the entire trip was visiting Miami. It was only an hour drive, so it wasn’t a stretch. We went to Wynwood Walls in the Miami Art District. I absolutely LOVED the art. Its such a unique and beautiful place. I definitely recommend you visit, it’s amazzinggggg!!!! I’ll share some of my favorite walls with you, but it’s nothing like seeing it in person. After visiting Miami, we spent the rest of our trip at Fort Lauderdale Beach. I can say it’s one of my favorite beaches. Overall, it was a great trip. And I loved exploring the city.

And of course I have photos:
